Update on my return trip home, I successfully transported 6 bottles of delicious homebrewed beer on the airplane in my suitcase with no breakage or leakage. Had to jettison some things in the hotel room, a binder, soap, shaving cream but it all was well worth it and I squeaked in at 0.6 pounds under the 50.0 lb limit.
