Last week while at a work conference in San Antonio I had the opportunity to visit the Alamo it's a pretty sobering place to visit when you consider what happened there. The actual iconic building (below) isn't all that big, but the Alamo "compound" it self was pretty big, and when you consider how few people there were there to defend it, it adds even more weight to my thoughts on what these men did. As far as "tourist" spots go it was neat to see but I wouldn't recommend treking down to San Antonio just to see it, to be honest I was not a fan of the city.
